About Linda Nagy Daykin
Reno Attorney

I have practiced law in Reno and Northern Nevada for more than 25 years. I have handled a variety of family law matters since 1988, and I also work in the area of Immigration Law. Before attending law school, I worked for the Legislative Counsel Bureau, Legal Division, in Carson City. From 1975-1976, I worked for Nevada Legal News, a daily legal newspaper in Las Vegas, published by Hoyt and Mary Sibley.

I have lived in Nevada for more than 50 years. I am a graduate of Mineral County High School, in Hawthorne, Nevada, the University of Nevada, Reno, (Journalism), and the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in Sacramento, California. I have been licensed to practice law in Nevada since 1986, and have actively practiced family law as a sole practitioner since 1988. I began volunteering at a community-based immigration clinic three years ago, and am a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. I accept cases in the area of Family-Based Immigration Law, with an emphasis on asylum and refugee matters. I also provide representation in the area of Family Law, and especially enjoy handling adoption matters.

I am an active member of the State Bar of Nevada and the Washoe County Bar Association. I am also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. I am a regular participant with the Washoe County Bar Association's Lawyer in the Library program. I am retired from the State Bar of Nevada's Northern Nevada Disciplinary Panel, serving from 2001-2013. From 1985-1990, I volunteered as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), and was assigned many cases.
